Makers Mill is a nonprofit community makerspace on Bay Street, a short walk from downtown Wolfeboro. The building holds 10,000 square feet of shops for woodworking, metalworking, jewelry, fiber arts, leather, stained glass, fine arts, and digital design. The organization started as G.A.L.A. and opened this space as Carroll County's first community shop and vocation hub.
You can take a class, join a public tour, or become a member and work independently. The monthly Repair Cafe is a good first visit if you just want to see the place and get something fixed.
Shops and Studios
- Woodshop - Hand tools and machines for furniture, turning, and small projects
- Metalworking and Machine Shop - Welding, machining, and milling
- Jewelry and Metalsmithing - Torch work and bench tools
- Fiber Arts and Leather - Sewing, weaving, and leatherworking
- Fine Arts, Mixed Media, and Stained Glass - Open studio space for painting and glass
- Digital Design and Fabrication - 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC, and design software

- Membership and day passes - Independent shop time after orientation and tool safety sign-off
- Repair Cafe - Last Sunday of the month. Bring a household item that needs fixing
