Hunter's Shop 'n Save is the independent, family-owned grocery store at the heart of downtown Wolfeboro. Anchoring South Main Street just a short walk from the town docks, Hunter's has served the community for decades—originally as Hunter's IGA—and remains the go-to spot for year-round residents stocking the pantry, summer renters provisioning the cottage, and visitors picking up a sandwich, cold drink, or bottle of wine to take down to the lake.
After the original store was destroyed by fire in January 2023, the Hunter family rebuilt on the same spot and reopened in June 2024. The new 16,000-square-foot store is roughly 25% larger than its predecessor, with a brighter layout, expanded departments, and energy-efficient refrigeration—but with the same friendly hometown feel locals counted on for years. Hunter's also operates sister stores in Glen, NH, and Gray, ME.
