Wolfeboro's Hometown Grocer
Hunter's Shop 'n Save is the family-owned grocery on South Main Street, a short walk from the town docks. It began as Hunter's IGA and still covers a full grocery run: produce, deli, bakery, meat and seafood, and beer and wine.
A fire destroyed the original store in January 2023. The Hunter family rebuilt on the same spot and reopened in June 2024. The new store is about 16,000 square feet, roughly 25% larger, with the same hometown feel. Sister stores are in Glen, NH, and Gray, ME. For a smaller natural-foods run, Wolfeboro Food Co-op is on Varney Road.
