Black's Paper Shop

Black's Paper Shop

Two floors of gifts, toys, and souvenirs on South Main Street

A Downtown Shop Since 1860

Black's Paper Shop, officially Black's Paper Store & Gift Shop, sits on South Main Street in downtown Wolfeboro. It started in 1860 as The Paper Store. George Black bought it in 1957 and gave it the name it still carries. The shop now fills two floors with toys, games, souvenirs, clothing, maple and specialty foods, and the kind of gifts people actually take home from a lake town.

It is an easy browse after the docks or a walk down Main Street. Hampshire Pewter and Butternuts Good Dishes are around the corner on Railroad Avenue, and The Country Bookseller is a short walk up North Main. If you need a Wolfeboro shirt, a maple treat, or something for a kid who has already seen the lake, this is the stop.
