Butternuts Good Dishes is a kitchen and gourmet shop on Railroad Avenue in downtown Wolfeboro, open year-round. One side of the store is cookware, knives, bakeware, glassware, and the gadgets people actually use. The other is New Hampshire food: maple syrup, honey, cheese, chocolate, jams, mead, wine, and baked goods from nearby farms and makers.
In season, a little farmstand out front has locally grown tomatoes, cucumbers, berries, apples, and flower bouquets. The kitchen also turns out homemade soups, salads, and quiche to go. Hampshire Pewter is next door, Seven Suns Cafe is up the block by the train station, and the docks are a short walk. They make gift baskets and sell gift certificates if you need something for a host or a cook.
